Never Howl Alone with The British Wolf

IMG_0842With the big WAW show coming up this weekend we have been interviewing some of our favourite wrestlers that have performed for one of the best wrestling companies in the world. With the countless homegrown talents they have they always bring over top talents from around the world to add to an already stacked roster and one that made a huge impression on us and many fans was The British Wolf and we got the chance to find out more about this mysterious character.

UWR: Where are you from ?

Wolf: Born in London,England and raised in Brooklyn,Ny (USA)

UWR: How old are you ?

Wolf: I am currently four and a half years old (Dog years)

UWR: Growing up were you a fan of Pro Wrestling ?

Wolf: Absolutely, but in my cub days Pro Wrestling was forbidden in the household so i would watch it as much as i could when it came on television without the telly being changed over or turned off.

UWR: Where did you train to become a Wrestler, who trained you and how old were you ?

Wolf: I trained at the Wild Samoan Training Center in Allentown,Pennsylvania under the Great Samu Anoai. But also had the privilege moving to Florida training at another Wild Samoan Training Center under Afa the Wild samoan ( Samu father). With the Great Samu i started training at three and a half years old.

UWR: Who were some of your influences growing up ?

Wolf: Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, The Undertaker, Chris Jericho ,Kurt Angle and Triple H

UWR: Are your family and friends supportive of your Pro Wrestling Career ?

Wolf: My family and friends are very supportive and proud of the journey that i decided to take a few years ago.

UWR: Do you remember the first Wrestling match you ever saw ? And what do you remember most about it?

Wolf: When i first moved to United states back in 1992 i remember the year but the first match i saw was Bret Hart vs British Bulldog, what i remembered most about it was heres a fighter who was representing where id just come from,so automatically British Bulldog already got my vote on who i wanted to win.

UWR: For people that have never seen You perform can you describe your character and wrestling style ?

Wolf: Indeed,my character name first is The British Wolf and he could be very mysterious , British Wolf is mostly loved by the wrestling fans if he has a good or bad attitude. My  fighting styles  are striker, minimum grappler but also a high flyer. basically The British Wolf character can adjust his wrestling style based on his opponent.

UWR: What is your proudest moment from your time in Pro Wrestling ?

Wolf: My proudest moment in pro wrestling sports entertainment when i was security on WWE NXT and was attacked by Shinsuke Nakamura, later then getting power bomb through a table during a contract signing.

UWR: Are there any wrestlers on the Indy scene you would like to wrestle that you have never wrestled before ?

Wolf: Yes, but i prefer not to mention them because with my luck i name them and will never step foot in the same ring at the same time ,until that happens they will know if it ever comes about.

UWR: If you could choose any wrestler in history alive or dead to have a match with who would it be ?

Wolf: If i could choose I would have to go after the dead man himself The undertaker. I think The Undertaker vs The British Wolf would of been a fantastic match.

UWR:  What promotions do you work for? And are there any companies that you would like to work for in the future?

Wolf: Funny thing about me is I’ve kept myself under World X-treme Wrestling C4 (WXWC4 Allentown,PA) and World X-treme Wrestling (WXW Minneola,Fl) mostly because i wanted to send this vibe of loyalty and exclusivness . Truthfully, i wasn’t eager working under any other promotions at the time of my wrestling career. I just felt that the road where i want to be on these promotions that has the connections will give me the tools i need towards my ultimate goal. Now I’m definitely open to any other promotions that will contact me for there event most def but I will not call every promotion to see where i can fit in, thats not my style.

UWR: We saw you wrestle for WAW in Norwich in a great match against The Lion Aaron Sharpe, many still talk about that match to this day and would like to see you return would that be something you would like to do ?

Wolf: First i want to say i love WAW and WAW Bellatrix to see WAW growing rapidly in the UK is awesome and am very happy i was apart of the promotion here. Yes The Lion Aaron Sharpe is a great opponent and very talented and if I’m not mistaken The Lion is the current WAW British Heavyweight Champion and I, The British Wolf, a current WXW Rage TV Champion. Hmmm What if….. but to answer your question yes i would love to return back to WAW , its definitely on my to-do list. Once i can get a hold of WAW Office we can give the WAW fans something they want.

UWR: What advice would you give to anyone starting out in Wrestling ?

Wolf: When you start in this line of business work hard, give it your best, don’t lose hope and be patient. Patience is one of the keys on something i learned through my experience. Everyones different my 100% is different form someone else 100% as long as you giving it your all i think thats what matters and as long as your having fun you will be alright.

UWR: Where can people see you perform next ?

Wolf: Well you can always find that out by following my social media accounts… Follow and Like @Thebritishwolf of Instagram,Facebook and Twitter.

UWR: Thank you for giving up your time to do this interview
