Match Of The Week

Moustache Mountain vs Pete Dunne & Mark Andrews

This had to be one of the most uneventful weeks for the WWE in a long time. On Raw nothing exciting or mildly interesting happened, yes Reigns and Elias had a decent match but this mediocre match was the best of a very bad bunch. The only notable moments were Paige’s group have a name they are now called Absolution but the only absolute thing about this group is the other two are absolutely green as grass. The best decision of the night was not having them perform in a Six person Tag match instead they beat down the women to send another message but when it came to them attacking Asuka they decided against it and giving Asuka the chance to retreat. I am really looking forward to seeing a program between Paige and Asuka but I also thought for a minute when Asuka was retreating that she would be a great fit in that faction. The other moment was Hardy doing his Delete gimmick and while I am happy they are going there it will never be as creative and organic as it was the first time round. The rest of the show was pointless and felt like a house show on TV. Well if you thought Raw was bad then Smackdown was somehow still able to be just slightly worse with the show still revolving around Shane and the very overrated Sami and Kevin. The newly named Riott squad had their six person tag match and just like their counterparts on Raw they proved just how green they are. The No DQ Match between Orton and Owens was decent but with no story or heat no one really cared but then that was the problem with the whole of this show and the proof was the silence from the crowd for the majority of this show. 205 had three half decent matches and it looks as though Dar could be the first passenger kicked off the Zo Train after another loss. Kendrick and Gallagher are becoming quite the sadistic duo and Gulak and Neese are collecting quite a few wins recently and are looking strong heading in to the fatal four way on Raw. Thank goodness for the hour of awesomeness that is NXT there were two decent matches and one good one that was easily the best match from this week in WWE and yet again it was the British Wrestlers stealing the show.
