The Pre Show was a complete waste of time. A Six Man Cruiserweight Match that meant nothing. A tag match that meant even less than nothing. Then there was the one match that most people tuned in to see on the Pre Show. With the Royal Rumble being a night of surprise returns I thought that with them keeping it a surprise we may see a return of a former US Champion. I was thinking maybe MVP, possibly Bobby Lashley or even Dolph Ziggler but instead they chose to give us Mojo Rawley !! The crowd went mild as he maid his appearance and sucked every ounce of interest anyone had in this match. So they kicked off the main show with the match for the most prestigious championship in the company. While I get putting Sami Zayn as a Curtain Jerker, I am baffled as to why the reason every person gets in to this business is this title and they put it out in the first match like it means absolutely nothing. The match was good I’m glad AJ won having Co Champions would be stupid. But the finish was pathetic and it made the Ref look like an idiot. There was absolutely no story involved in the Smackdown Tag match so why should I even care. The Usos are a great team and deserves something much better creatively. The fact they won the match 2-0 is fine it’s just it took ages to get the first fall and then the second seemed to come really quickly after that it seemed like they were forced in to ending the match quick and that made it worse. The men’s Rumble was good. Balor had a fantastic showing, he went from number one to the final four, there were two nice nostalgia moments with the returns of Hurricane and Rey Mysterio who looked in great shape I just hope he can stay around as he is needed badly. Adam Cole and Andrade Cien Almas both did well in their Rumbles it was nice to see two guys from NXT in the match even if they are not moving to the main roster. I really enjoyed when it came down to the final four and every elimination that came after was done really well. Nakamura winning was the best way to end it especially being in Philadelphia. Then we found out the first match for Wrestlemania as Nakamura announced he would be facing AJ Styles and all us Marks finally get our wish. The Raw Tag Match was pointless as I’m sure many like me needed a Piss, Munch, Drink, Cigarette (or maybe something a little stronger) break. This was just another match we have seen from these guys multiple times before and hopefully we have seen the last and The Bar will move on to new challenges and it seems Jordan and Rollins will start their feud. The crowd was flat for the tag match and it seemed to carry through to the Universal Title Match but who can blame them they had already sat through so much already. This was nothing different that we have not seen before. The most notable part was when Braun caught Lesnar with a stiff knee and Lesnar replied by punching Strowman straight in the face. Obviously Lesnar won and Kane ate the pin fall. I enjoyed the Stephanie McMahon Presnts: The Stephanie McMahon Women’s Rumble created by Stephanie McMahon. Honestly apart from having to listen to the crap they were spouting on the commentators table (but to be honest Stephanie was not the worst of the commentators on this night) this was a fun match. Sasha put in a good performance and finally showed some attitude towards the end with eliminating Bayley then getting everyone to gang up on Asuka. I do think it should of been Sasha and Asuka at the end instead we got the Bella Bimbo Bitches stealing more spotlight they didn’t earn. Nia got the generic big person elimination. But it was cool seeing Lita, Molly Holly, Kelly Kelly, Torrie Wilson, Michelle McCool, Vickie Guerrero, Jaqueline, Beth Phoenix and Trish Stratus. Once it was all over and they forced Asuka to make a choice between Alexa and Charlotte, the uncomfortable situation got even worse as surprise surprise out came Ronda Rousey. She came to the ring to the theme tune from TV Show Freaks and Geeks (not sure if actual name and not wasting time looking) the song did not suit her at all then looked weirdly at the three women who just stood there like goofs. She pointed at the sign then there was an awkward hand shake with Stephanie McMahon (Of Cousre this is The Stephanie McMahon Show)  to end the show. This was poorly done, it took the spotlight completely off of Asuka after she just won the Rumble, Rousey should of had her own moment not had to share it here and where does she fit in with the Women’s Roster and who is losing their spot and falling down the card.
