The show started with a Stephanie promo and she was looking for sympathy with her injured arm in a sling and brace. She then very nicely introduced Ronda Rousey. Stephanie tried to kiss Ronda’s ass with heaps of praise but Ronda attempted to further injure the arm of Stephanie, after a hug she ripped of the arm brace and locked in another Arm Bar.
It was announced that there will be a Superstar Shake Up next week on Raw and Smackdown. Ember Moon made her debut on Raw in a basic tag match where Ember and Jax dominated the match. Braun and Nicholas relinquished the tag titles over to Kurt Angle, he then announced a Tag Team Tournament to take place over this show and next weeks with the winners facing the former champs The Bar At the Greatest Royal Rumble Show in Saudi Arabia. Another NXT Star joined Ember Moon on the main roster with No Way Jose making his in ring debut on Raw as he squashed a jobber. Seth Rollins cut a promo after winning the IC title at Mania, he was interrupted by Finn Balor he wanted a one on one shot. Miz made his way to the ring and said that Seth made his new born baby cry when he beat The Miz at Mania, then Maryse cried then The Miz cried. The Miz and Miztourage attempted to attack Rollins and Balor but before they could brawl Jeff Hardy returned. Bayley was the reason Mandy defeated Sasha as their mundane story continued. Sadly Paige finally announced her retirement from the WWE due to her neck injury. Elias’ performance was cut short by the returning Bobby Lashley ! Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn begged Kurt for a job . Kurt dropped the line of the year “I heard TNA are hiring” . Then Kurt told them they have to fight each other for a spot on the roster. The Authors Of Pain were the third act to be bought up from NXT and they squashed Slater and Rhyno, they then seemed to part ways with Paul Ellring after the match. This is a much needed boost that the Raw Tag Team division desperately needed. Reigns cut another promo in which he bitched about the relationship between Vince and Brock, then he moaned about getting yet another match with Brock at the Greatest Royal Rumble Show. Samoa Joe returned from injury to cut off Roman and it looks like these two will have yet another match at Backlash. Is it me or does it seem even more likely that Brock will drop the belt to Roman in Saudi Arabia ? I hope not but it does seem like something they may do. I am intrigued by the team of Wyatt and Hardy, it is something fresh and different it could be something really great, it’s also another huge boost to the tag division. Zayn and Owens had another excellent match but it ended in a draw so neither one of them were given a job. I like they are spreading this story out over to Raw as well. This will end with both of them getting jobs but I have enjoyed it so far and it will be a decent story to see how they get back . The Six Man Tag Match was a lame way to end the Raw after Wrestlemania. I did enjoy the majority of this show, the women got the show off to a strong start, the roster is looking really stacked now with the call ups from NXT (Ember Moon, No Way Jose & AOP), the returns from injury (Jeff Hardy & Samoa Joe) and the huge return to the WWE by Bobby Lashley. With the Superstar Shake Up next week it does leave for a long list of intriguing feuds and matches in the future.
