For the first time in a very long time I was really looking forward to watching an Impact Wrestling PPV and I was not left disappointed. The opening match was a great way to start the show as two Luchadors did what they do best and got the crowd going right from the off. The Springboard Codebreaker Aerostar hit to win was absolutely breathtaking to watch and was a fitting way to end the match after all the death defying moves they pulled out in this contest. It was great to see Steiner back and it was very predictable that he and Eli would win but the match was still enjoyable however it was  not nearly as entertaining as Steiner backstage promo with Petey Williams after the match, that was pure gold. Brian Cage seemed completely out of place in the Six Way Match. This guy should be the face of Impact Wrestling and the sooner he is the Champ the better. The only notable thing about Taya vs Hogan was Tessa Blanchard (Daughter Of Tully Blanchard & Step Daughter Of Magnum T.A) showing up at the commentators table during the match and she did seem very confident on the mic. The X Division title match reminded me of the old TNA days and this was up there with some of those great matches back then. I believe this X Division Roster is just as good and has the potential to be better than any other X Division Roster we have seen in the history of this division. The bitter rivalry between Edwards and Callahan continued on and this time it was Edwards who dished out a viscous beating after the match but during his rage he accidentally hit his Wife with a Kendo Stick as she attempted to get him to stop. In my opinion this has been the best feud of 2018 in wrestling and it is still going I can’t imagine how they can top what they have already done but I’m sure I will enjoy seeing them try. Allie vs Su Young was probably the worst match on the card, not saying it was not entertaining but the other matches were so much better than this one. However I do like Su Young and the dark character she is portraying. Wow the main event was a perfect way to end the show and they some how managed to top the match these three had at WrestleCon. So a new Champ and it does seem that this working relationship between Impact and Lucha will continue. That is a fantastic idea as both companies will benefit massively from this and so will we the fans. Also I would like to mention how great the commentary team of Josh Matthews and Don Callis were on this show, I just hope this is a regular thing now as they made the show even better. I am really happy that this was a successful PPV and now I hope they can keep this momentum going and continue to improve. There is no reason why they can not claim back and solidify the spot as the number 2 Wrestling promotion in the world.
