Day One was just about the Strong Style Tournament and the best  first round matches in my opinion were Doug vs Pete and Zack Sabre JR vs Chuck Mambo. Chuck really proved why he more than deserved a spot in this tournament and put on arguably his best performance inside a Progress Ring. The story between Eddie Dennis and Mark Andrews continued on this day when Eddie showed up and sat front row for Andrews match with Angelico. Eddie cost Andrews the match but this would not be the only time Eddie would disrupt Mark over the weekend. The other matches on Day One were enjoyable like the David and Goliath battle between Flash and Lee,  Gibson and Drake getting the better of Janela using the fact they had not chosen who would enter to their advantage and Ohno vs Brookes was a good way to end the day. Day Two was the best day out of the three and it was because of the awesome matches and the continuation of feuds. Havoc, Haskins and Webster costing Pete his chance to advance by hitting Gibson with a low blow and then attacking Pete before Tyler made the save has only added to this bitter rivalry heading into the Big Manchester Show when Havoc, Haskins and Flash Clash with British Strong Style. Keith Lee and Angelico was a fantastic match but for me Starr vs Sabre Jr stole the show. Ohno and Tyler put on a good match and the feat of strength from Tyler was amazing to watch. The Main Event was a very good match but it was a very anticlimactic way to end this day. But I do like how much heat this got Travis and that this feud will continue. Two highlights of this Day had to be The Flip Kick Devlin did to a Beach Ball and the “Whopper For A Pillow” chant. So the third day was really enjoyable, I did like how they are starting to set in place matches for the Wembley show. The long ongoing feud between Eddie and Mark has to be on the Wembley show this has arguably been on of the best rivalries over the last year in Progress. Due to Tyler injuring himself during his match with Ohno the Wasteman Challenge quickly went from a Comedy Spot to an awesome Spot Fest after Jim dropped some Sick Bars announcing that the match would be for Tyler’s Spot. Devlin had been awesome all weekend and after dropping some killer rhymes he then put on another awesome display and for me he was one of the best performers over the whole weekend. Ohno went Elbow crazy in the Wasteman Challenge and his best had to been when he caught Devlin in the face whilst Devlin was mid air performing a moonsault. Both Semi Final Matches were very entertaining but for me the star of both matches was Zack Gibson. He plays his character to perfection and with out doubt gets the best crowd reaction as a heel in wrestling today. I would argue with anyone that he is the best Heel in Wrestling and deserves to be put in the main event of shows. The Death Match was good if you enjoy that sought of match but it did not entertain me as much as other matches of this kind have in the past. I believe these sought of matches should be saved to end a bitter rivalry and not just thrown in to just do it.  The big surprise of this day was Will Ospreay showing up and challenging Havoc to a match at Wembley (Now there is a rivalry that had an awesome No DQ Match) this rivalry is arguably what helped build Progress in what it has become today that’s why this match has to be on the biggest Wrestling show in England in 30 years. After being crowned the first ever Progress Women’s Champion at SSS16 last year Storm has been the most dominant champion in Progress Wrestling and her reign continued after an excellent contest with the extremely impressive Charlie Morgan. After Walter got some revenge on TK for trying to interfere in the title match on Day Two he shockingly seemed to drop the Atlas Championship to pursue the World Championship. The Main Event was really good and I think after the great matches ZSJ had with Mambo, Starr and Lee he more than deserved to win this years tournament even though I did like the story of Ohno who got a second chance then had to have three matches on this day but he just couldn’t overcome Zack Sabre JR who adds another Big Tournament win to the many others he has accumulated over the last few years. Sabre announced that he would take his guaranteed shot at the title at Wembley whom ever the champion is at the time.
After attending our third year of SSS16 and seeing/meeting  many fans that had travelled all over the world to watch some of the best Indy wrestlers in the world we believe this is the best Pro Wrestling Tournament in the world. We loved this weekend and can’t wait for next year.
