Two Weeks Of #ImpactWrestling and Why It’s So Much Better Than #Raw & #Smackdown

Due to me being very busy at another Wrestling Show last weekend I was not able to find time to watch Impact Wrestling. I thought it would be best to combine last weeks episode and this weeks and give you my review for both shows. So here are the match results, my match ratings and review for last weeks episode and this weeks episode of Impact Wrestling.

Week 1

Eli Drake started the show with an in ring Promo he announced that he is cashing in his shot at the World Championship next week. Pentagon came to the ring for a stare down.

Keira Hogan had a backstage interview that was interrupted by Tessa Blanchard

Grado surprised Joseph Park backstage with his return to Impact Wrestling. Grado tells Parks he has a Girlfriend but the two are interrupted by Austin Aries who is reassuring everyone he will once again be World Champion.

With the Ref outside the ring worried about Taya, Tessa Blanchard made her way to the ring during the  match and she brawled with Hogan on the outside. Tessa got the better of Hogan and hit a Hammerlock DDT in the middle of the ring.

The next match took place in Australia for World Series Wrestling

Tommy Dreamer picked up Eddie and does not want to hear any excuses after bailing him out of jail.

X Division Championship
Matt Sydal defeated Taiji Ishimori
Match Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️3/4

Tommy Dreamer and Eddie Dennis were sat on a couch having a chat about Eddie and what has been happening over the last few weeks with Sami and everything else that had occurred because of it. Eddie is not happy with what Tommy has to say.

Su Yung vs Rosemary

The Match does not even begin as both brawled on the outside. Su Yung hit  her finisher “The Panic Switch” on Rosemary on the floor. Su Yung then summoned  her Undead Bridesmaids to the ring. Allie tried  to save Rosemary but Rosemary told her to leave. The undead bridesmaids grabbed Allie and made her watch as Su Yung hit another Panic Switch off the stage through a table. The Undead Bridesmaids dragged Rosemary back to the ring and put her in the coffin with Allie frantically trying to save her friend as she is held back.

Week 2

A Video of Callahan attackeing Don Callis at Destiny Wrestling when receiving the comeback award was shown at the beginning of this episode and we were told that Impact Management would be deciding the future of Callahan in Impact Wrestling during this episode.

There was a KM and Fallah Bahh training Video shown with KM trying to get Bahh to drop a few pounds.
The next Match took place at Pro Wrestling Noah

There was a Video Package with Allie in her dressing room having flashbacks from last week. Then there was a Knock at door a creepy doll was left outside. Something strange has happened to Allie.
Impact World Championship
Pentagon JR defeated Eli Drake
Match Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2
Every match throughout both days was decent enough some could of been better but others were much better than I thought they would of been.
The return of Grado saw him bring in a Girlfriend and after a win his best friend was attacked. I do enjoy the comedy aspect of Grado and while he may not be the best in ring performer he brings some entertainment to this show unlike anyone else on the roster. I am interested to see where they are going with this Girlfriend story and the Parks attack.
Another new face on Impact is Tessa Blanchard and she has been really impressive with everything she has done so far. I see her winning this feud with Kiera Hogan then eventually going on to be a top contender for the title and eventually being the champ. While the newly formed team of Fallah Bah & KM lost to oVe the video package they did on this weeks episode was absolutely hilarious and I hope we see more of this. There are always a few X Division tag or multi man Lucha Rules type of matches, these are always really entertaining spot fests and are great to have on any show I do like at least one of the matches every week has stakes like an X Division Championship match and a number one contenders match this week. I also enjoy that there is a title match every week with Sydal retaining the X Division title last week against Ishimori as previously mentioned and this week Pentagon defended his title successfully against Eli Drake in a very good match. I am really liking this around the world tour of Brian Cage, this is a great way to build him up and make him look even stronger without having to sacrifice too many of the Impact roster in quick succession.
The two really compelling stories on Impact Wrestling are firstly the rivalry surrounding Su Yung and Allie this is just getting better and deeper every week. The second is of course the ongoing battle between Sami Callahan and Eddie Dennis, this feud has developed in to the best story in Pro Wrestling this year and now has so many more people involved than it did with from the start, everyone involved has been fantastic in telling this story and Callahan has been a fantastic heel throughout all of this.
Another two enjoyable episodes of Impact with some really well thought out storytelling and enjoyable in ring action. This show is far better than both WWE Raw and Smackdown in every way possible. It proves that it is possible to put together a wrestling show that is in keeping with the times and that WWE clearly have no idea how to do just that. Hopefully more fans will start to realise what show is the more entertaining TV SHOW.
