Here are the match results, my match ratings and review for Revolution Pro Wrestling Live At The Cockpit 29.
The Show started with Travis Banks coming to the ring and he informed everyone that he wouldn’t be able to perform tonight due to an injury he sustained in a Match for Rev Pro at Epic Encounters two days previously. Then out came Rob Lias who somehow managed to talk his way in to a match with the injured Banks.
Rob Lias defeated Travis Banks
Fred Yehi defeated Chris Brookes
Adam Brooks defeated Kyle Fletcher
David Starr defeated Chuck Mambo
Dan Magee defeated Josh Bodom
El Phantasmo, Flash Morgan Webster, Kurtis Chapman & TK Cooper defeated Legion Of Lords (Lord Gideon Grey, Rishi Gosh, No Fun Dunne & Los Federales Santos JR)
Jeff Cobb defeated Mark Davis
Incredibly two days after Rev Pro put on one of their best shows at The York Hall they delivered another belter of a show at The Cockpit. I like how they capitalised on the injury Travis had by getting more heat and putting over Rob Lias. I believe that Rob Lias could be a top performer in British Wrestling, He has a good look, he has the gift of the gab and he is very talented in the ring. I can definitely see him having more high profile matches invthe very near future for Rev Pro. I also like how he went about gaining the victory by using Travis’ injury to gain the upper hand and win by submission. Another very impressive win for Yehi and I can’t wait to see him back in a Rev Pro ring he proved he could be a title contender in the future. Still undefeated Adam Brooks picked up another win against Kyle Fletcher who is having some amazing matches this year. I did like the set up of a feud between Brooks and TK Cooper and I also liked how they carried this on later on in the show. No pun intended but the star of the show was easily David Starr. I am sure I’m not the only one who is enjoying him picking on Chris Roberts for shoddy officiating. I thought even though Mambo lost he did his image no harm by putting on a fabulous performance against one of the best Indy Wrestlers around toady. Another story that I enjoyed was the one between Dan Magee and the Bully Josh Bodom. After Magee fought back against Bodom on Friday I liked that he wanted to face him one on one. It was also good to see that they are trying to give another young performer a push by giving Magee a big win against Bodom. The Eight man tag started out as being really entertaining but towards the end it got a bit clustered towards the end. Wow the main event was freaking awesome and even though Davis lost he had one of his best single performances that I have ever seen. As for Jeff Cobb I am sure he will return for Rev Pro and when he does surely he has to be in line for a shot at the Heavyweight Championship.
