WWF Monday Night Raw 18/1/1993

Here are the match results, my match ratings and review of WWF Monday Night Raw 18/1/1993

Mr Perfect def Terrific Terry Taylor
Match Rating:⭐️⭐️

Marty Jannety def Glenn Ruth
Match Rating:⭐️

Ric Flair vs El Matador Tito Santana no contest
Match Rating:⭐️⭐️

The second episode and rivalries are beginning to heat up as we head in to the Royal Rumble. Right from the start the action was underway and a new feud was born as Repo Man came out of nowhere and jumped Macho Man who again was part of this piss poor commentary team (where is Heenan and Monsoon ?). After he beat down Savage Repo Man escaped through the crowd with Savage’s Hat. The heated feud between Flair and Perfect that has been going on for months boiled over on this show. The Nature Boy decided to interfere in Perfect’s match with Terry Taylor. Behind the Ref’s back Flair beat down Perfect but even that was not enough for Taylor to pick up a win and Perfect picked up the win then he chased  after Flair. Again there was a brilliant moment of Comedy during the match and it came from Heenan who called in to the show. I have already said it but this commentary team sucks and as soon as they can get Heenan and Monsoon on this show the better it will be for everyone. Like Razor last week Bret Hart did the same sort of basic in ring promo. While it was quite a boring promo I am sure the match will be very good. The only entertaining part of Marty Janetty’s Match was yet another caller to the show this time it was Shawn Michaels.
He did a great job in talking up his match at the Rumble while Glenn Ruth got his Head Banged with a Rocker Dropper from Marty. Another feud that seemed to start last week took a massive turn as we saw footage of Doink attacking Crush from behind with a fake arm. While I do like this dark clown character of Doink, Crush sucks balls. He is a lame Babyface that no one will ever get behind or care about. The story of Repo and Savage was continued to be told as we saw Repo outside with the hat of Savage and the two managed to communicate through an Ear piece Repo took from Sean Mooney. The two had a fierce argument and it wound up Randy he went out to search for Repo. What looked like was going to be a good match between Flair and Tito got cut short as a furious Mr Perfect hit the ring and went straight for Flair. The two had a wild pull apart brawl that went all over the building. Finally they were separated and then Flair issued the ultimate challenge and Mr Perfect excepted. Next week it will be Mr Perfect vs Ric Flair and the loser must leave the WWF FOREVER!! The show ended with Repo Man leaving in a Tow Truck with Rob Bartlett’s car attached. This was another great episode, it built up everything to the Royal Rumble, a new feud began and an intense rivalry took a massive twist. This show just made me want more and I can’t wait to not only watch the Rumble but also next week is going to be a show you don’t want to miss. I’m sure it will be one you will never forget.
