The episode after Homecoming was largely built around the ending of that PPV with Johnny Impact seeking revenge for Killer Kross putting his wife in hospital. At the start of the show Johnny came to the ring with the majority of the crowd booing him after the way he had retained the title the night before. He only wanted to talk about getting revenge for his Wife. But firstly he had to deal with an angry Cage who was furious with how the main event ended at Homecoming and wanted another shot at the title. Out came Kross and after him taunting Johnny the three got in to a small brawl. A No DQ match was made for the main event with Impact facing Kross. I did like the start of the show and how they carried on where they left off from the PPV. They continued to focus a lot on Kross throughout the show with him having a video package and a backstage promo both were very good the only problem was they were put back to back and maybe could of been better spread out a bit. But overall he proved how good he is on the mic and his acting skills are better than most in the business today. The Lucha Bros and The Rascalz had a very enjoyable match. I have been really impressed with everything I have seen so far from the Rascalz trio. Of course Pentagon and Fenix proved why they are the best Luchadors in the world with s flawless performance. I do like the TNA flashbacks but the only downside is it is a reminder of how great it once was. But it was a nice bit of nostalgia to watch this match for the first time since I saw all those years ago. What ever happened to Michael Shane ? It was pretty predictable that Rich Swann would not be able to get through his in ring interview with Josh Matthews with out getting interrupted. So it was of little surprise when Sami Callihan came to the ring. What was a bit of a surprise was Callihan offering Swann spot in oVe. Before Swann could decide out came Willie Mack and he brawled with Sami. This brawl led to the rematch from the PPV and it was arguably a better match than the one they had at Homecoming. With Mack sneaking a victory after he was heavily punished throughout the contest by Callihan. There is no way this feud is over I expect the next match will have some sort of stipulation attached to it. There were a couple of backstage segments with LAX, first in the club house celebrating their win and then they ran in to oVe backstage. So I assume they may be returning to that feud again, I have no complaints with that as the last set of matches these two teams had were absolutely outstanding. So the one segment on this show that probably got a lot of heat from many fans was the Scarlett Bordeaux Strip Show. I really don’t care what anyone else says but in my opinion Sex sells !! Now I know I will get the argument that they are objectifying her. But then I could say I guarantee there are a percentage of people watching the show to perv over the muscular men in tights. I bet the ratings of WWE Raw dropping so badly lately was down to a percentage of people that only perv over Roman Reigns. So this is no different and if it helps boost numbers then I am all for it, also if I get to see more of Scarlett Bordeaux wearing what she was there will be no complaints from me.The legend Scott Steiner retuning was completely over shadowed by everyone wanting to see Scarlett strip. Tessa Blanchard won a squash match and sent a message to Gail Kim by using her finisher. Another backstage interview interrupted and it was Eddie Edwards who was cut off by Eli Drake who wanted to know why Eddie would want to be Hardcore. This is going to be a very entertaining feud and I can see both putting together a great match. They are continuing with the Dark Allie, Su Yung and Rosemary story. While it’s great they are being so creative and have given these women a chance to be in this spot, I think the story and acting is pretty weak. The main event was a very good match and I was really impressed with Kross. He looks like a Killer, his in ring technique is perfect for his character and he rounds it off with great facial expressions. There is no doubt in my mind that he will be champion soon. The match finished thanks to Moose as he pushed Johnny of the top rope and he crashed through a table on the outside. This was the perfect opportunity for Kross and he made it count as he locked in a deep choke hold and Impact passed out. The show ended with Moose and Kross standing over a prone Johnny Impact. The size of some of the guys in the main event picture is pretty impressive. Moose, Brian Cage and Killer Kross all are very important size wise. In the ring they are also extremely talented and it made me think that this roster Impact have at the moment is one of the best in wrestling at the moment. The announcement of AEW will have put every other company on notice and I am sure the likes of Impact Wrestling will continue to up their game to make sure they remain in the shout as the number two promotion in America.
