I have not watched an episode of Raw since the McMahon Family turned up and said they are starting another new era. I must say it was a pleasant break but I’m actually glad that I watched this episode which is a surprise. The show started with Vince getting out of his Limo and you just knew something would happen to it once he was complaining about a smudge on the paint work. They went straight to the ring and out came Strowman who really struggled through another badly scripted but very simple promo. The shit they make every one of the performers say is so child like and corney. Do they honestly think people act and talk like that in 2019 ? Why was it so easy for Corbin to rile up Strowman ? Then after he destroys the limo he looks like a big dumb idiot when Vince is giving him a telling off. Did we really need to see him tipping another vehicle over ? The first time was not that impressive now it’s pointless. I’m glad he is out of the main event at the Rumble. What ever steam and heat he had last year has all but gone now and they need to go in an new direction. It’s a shame but he is just another that has been wasted by the dumbasses in the creative department. Every women’s match, backstage segment and basically everything they do on the main roster sucks. They are all overrated and should not be given as much time as they are and put in the spots they are in. They are not good enough, every segment they had tonight was glaring proof of that and now they are getting tag titles. The Alexa Bliss talk show segment was so bad you could tell Heyman did not want to be out there doing that crap and who can remember the last time he was cut off like that ? I really liked the story they told With Balor tonight. From his altercation with Vince, to his match with Jinder to keep his spot in the main event and him actually winning and going in to face Lesnar at the Rumble. Now many will laugh and say look at Lesnar and Finn there is no one in their right mind that would think in a real fight Finn would win. But this is the WWE and there is always a way around that if you are creative enough. The ratings are I the shitter and Lesnar is part of that reason. If they really want to go the other way then shock everyone and have aloe win at Royal Rumble and lets see if it makes a change. What do they have to lose ? I did like Cena in the ring with Vince, I hope the rest of the roster were watching because Cena was the only one who delivered a good promo, they could learn a lot from him. I did not like the way the other three came to the ring all three repeating one word as they came out (Wait Wait Wait, Wo Wo Wo and No No No) it was so generic and you knew where this was leading. Also what happens to every one that was outside Vince’s office ? Did they not want a shot after all ? Why did the whole male roster not come out to the ring ? Why did they always do the same thing? Can they not think of a different, more creative way to find a number one contender ? We did see the new faces appear and the only one that got a match was Nikki Cross. While EC3 and Lacey Evans were in meaningless spots backstage, Dozvic and Knight hit the delightful job of cutting the shitfesg that was the Alexa Bliss talk show. I hate every talk show they try to create. If they can’t be bothered to go to the trouble of creating a set like Pipers Pit had then there is no point doing it at all. The highlight of the show was the IC title match and Lashley winning the belt. This was a good show for once and was a good way to build to the Rumble. Let’s see if Smackdown can do they same.
