If like us you are a fan of MLW then we don’t have to tell you how talented Richard Holliday is. But if you have not then trust me you are seriously missing out. We were extremely lucky to get this interview with one of the best young wrestlers on the planet today.

UWR: What is your earliest memory of Pro Wrestling ?

HOLLIDAY:  Heading to the New Haven Coliseum with my father and brother, circa 1997.

UWR: Where did you train and who trained you ?

HOLLIDAY: I had the privilege of training under the tutelage of Paul Roma at Paradise Alley Professional Wrestling.

UWR: Are your family and friends supportive of your Pro Wrestling career ?

HOLLIDAY: Absolutely, especially in the beginning. Now that things are getting crazy busy it’s harder for them, but everyone still keeps tabs.

UWR: I’m sure like everyone you remember your first match so who was it against and what do you remember about it ?

HOLLIDAY: My first match took place in South Bend, IN against Brian Costello. The match was exactly what it needed to be. I just remember walking down the aisle and thinking, “we’ll, I can’t turn back now”

UWR: What is the best match you have ever seen ?

HOLLIDAY: Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania 26

UWR: Do you have a favourite match  you have had so far ?

HOLLIDAY: My best match is always my last one. It’s crazy how much better I get on a per-match basis.

UWR: What is your proudest moment from your time as a Pro Wrestler so far ?

HOLLIDAY: Signing to MLW has to be my proudest moment.

UWR: If you could have a match with any wrestler in history who would it be ?

HOLLIDAY:  The Rock. The “Great One” vs The “Marketable One” has a nice ring to it.

UWR: Do you have any goals you have set for yourself that you have not yet achieved ?

HOLLIDAY: I continuously set goals. Without that, you can become content. I’m never content.

UWR: What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Pro Wrestler ?

HOLLIDAY: Really think if this is for you. It’s too demanding to just be a hobby or something for fun, I’d say you’re wasting not just yours, but everyone involved time unless you give it 100% effort.

UWR: We know Pro Wrestling takes up a lot of your time but what do you enjoy doing when you have some free time ?

HOLLIDAY:  In my spare time i like to hunt for new coffee shops to check out and just relax for a bit. The ambiance in a cool locally owned spot helps ease my mind.
