THIS IS ROHIT RAJU

Many have said that IMPACT Wrestling has never been better since they changed from TNA. I for one can not disagree, there are countless amounts of young and hungry talent that have the potential to be great. One who has really impressed me recently and had a fantastic inter gender match at Rebellion is Rohit Raju. We were extremely lucky to do an interview with him and we got more of an insight in to who is Rohit Raju.

UWR: What is your earliest memory of Pro Wrestling ?

RAJU: My earliest memory of Pro Wrestling is watching footage of the Road Warriors taking on The Koloff’s in a Russian Chain Match. I was blown away. That and early Hogan.

UWR: Where did you train and who trained you to be a Pro Wrestler ?

RAJU: I started out training with Xavier Justice in Davison, MI. After my training was complete I would go to the House of Truth with Truth Martini for more training. Then started to go to the Can-Am Dojo in Windsor over 2 years ago to up my game.

UWR: Are your Family and Friends supportive of your career as a Pro Wrestler ?

RAJU: My friends and family try to share my posts and encourage me as much as they can. No one has really been against it. I do think some are surprised that I made it this far. And I know some aren’t surprised at all haha. The supporters since day 1 know I have what it takes to go further.

UWR: I’m sure like all Wrestlers you remember your first match. Who was it against and what do you remember most about it ?

RAJU: My first match was called a Captains Fall Match. I don’t recall what the exact rules were, but I believe it was like an 8 man tag. I remember having a few spots, and people in the back telling me I stood out thanks to my intensity and speed in the ring.

UWR: What is the best match you have ever seen ?

RAJU:  I can’t even pick one match haha. I loved anything with Austin vs Rock. Eddie vs Rey and Halloween Havoc is one of my favs. The best of series with Booker and Benoit was fantastic. Almost any Eddie vs Benoit match. Savage vs Steamboat, Steamboat vs Flair. There are WAY too many to name.

UWR: What in your opinion is the best match or opponent you have had ?

RAJU: Any of my matches with Jake Something will always be up there. He’s my best opponent, no questions asked. I also enjoyed my match with Trey Miguel on Impact in Mexico. I know many fans enjoyed myself vs Shane Strickland at Glory Pro.

UWR: What is your proudest moment from your time as a Pro Wrestler ?

RAJU: My proudest moment in Pro Wrestling was getting signed to Impact. I always knew I had the potential to get this far. But sometimes I didn’t think I’d get here. There’s more ground I know I can cover as well.

UWR: If you could have a match with any wrestler in history who would it be ?

RAJU: If I could wrestle anyone it would be Savage, The Rock, Cena, or Austin. All with tons of promo time leading up to the match.

UWR: Are there any goals you have set yourself that you have not yet achieved ?

RAJU: I want to show everyone that my worth is more than what I’m doing now. I can kill it on the mic, kill it in the ring when given the opportunity. I feel as if the DHS is just floating around in Impact right now. I LOVE being there, but I feel that we can offer more than what we’re doing now. I know I have what it takes to be a top guy in ANY company. I just need the opportunity to do so.

UWR: What advice would you give to someone that wants to be a Pro Wrestler ?

RAJU: Keep hustling, grinding, and don’t let anyone ever tell you what you can or cannot do. Stay humble, and always strive to improve. Doesn’t hurt to know the right people either haha.

UWR: What do you enjoy doing in your spare time away from the ring ?

RAJU: When the weather is nice I love to be outside, grill, and just enjoy the weather. I love to hit the weights, play video games, and watch some shows and movies. I also enjoy hangin out with friends and family when I can. Just living life as much as I can.
