UWR: What is your earliest memory of Pro Wrestling ?
DEANER: Watching Hulk Hogan. And then immediately turning my living room into an arena where I beat the crap out of a giant blue teddy bear for hours on end.
UWR: Where did you train to become a Wrestler and who trained you ?
DEANER: Niagara Falls, Ontario Canada. “Dangerboy” Derek Wylde.
UWR: Are your family and friends supportive of your Pro Wrestling Career ?
DEANER: I wouldn’t be able to do what I do if it wasn’t for my amazing and super-supportive wife. She’s the best.
UWR: I’m sure like every Wrestler you remember your first match. So who was in the match ? Did it go well ? And what do you remember most about it ?
DEANER: My first match was a rude awakening to the business and the lesson that you better not have a giant ego and take yourself too seriously or you won’t last. My first match was a battle royal where I kept getting back into the ring and was eliminated about 8 times. Then I challenged the ring announcer to a match and also lost. Welcome to the business kid!
UWR: What in your opinion is your best match or opponent you have ever had ?
DEANER: Too many to name. I’ve had some real doozies with Shawn Spears. And have had numerous amazing matches in the last few years with an awesome unsigned Canadian talent “The Saturday Night Delight” Tyler Tirva.
UWR: What is your proudest moment from your time in Pro Wrestling ?
DEANER: I’ve had many. But right now I’d have to say that I’m proud to say that I’ve lasted as long as I have and have the privilege of being in this business right now in a time where it is extremely profitable and a very fun time to be a wrestler.
UWR: If you could choose any wrestler in history to have a match with who would it be ?
DEANER: Shawn Michaels.
UWR: What advice would you give to anyone starting out in Wrestling ?
DEANER: Don’t take yourself too seriously. But take the wrestling business very seriously.
UWR: We understand Wrestling takes up a lot of your time but what do you enjoy doing when you are not working.
DEANER: Spending time with my family. My amazing wife and my four beautiful children.
